My Experience with the Nebo gate on June 12, 2006.
I had been very eager to open the Nebo gate during the whole moon, but when the night came (June 12 th ) I felt lethargic the whole day. My “big day” was here and for some reason I had almost no Will to walk it. I laid down about an hour after Smasher666 got offline and decided to just watch some television and go to sleep. I felt more, than one energy in my room. One was, the Gate pulling me toward it, the other were energies whose nature I could not divine, nor did I, at the time, feel like I wanted to….but Nebo kept pulling on me. I would soon discover that the forces whose nature I did not feel like divining were Idimmu trying to stop me from opening the gate.
Pazuzu does not want me to reach Marduk…..he knows what I have in store for him. Anyways, I got up to take a piss when I heard a voice that I had not heard in several years. It was the voice of my Uncle's dead mother. She had died in the house I currently live in some years ago. When I first began exploring the occult I would sometimes feel her in the room she died in. For reasons unknown to me, I kept trying to block her out of my mind and thus did not work with her once I had the astral ability to do so. To get back on track, she told me to walk Nebo that night. She further told me to begin with the exorcism/cleansing “Enu Shub” found in the Book of Calling.
I put on my robe and gathered my tools. I began the exorcism/cleansing ritual and felt a lot of weak but dark forces almost shouting at my astral self as I went through the incantation. When it was finished, they were gone. I opened the four directional gates and felt a sublime peace fall over me. I continued with summoning the Fire God Gibil followed by Asaruludu and my Watcher. I set the gate on the floor and held my staff in my right hand and the gate seal in my left. I whispered “Nebo” onto the seal and began the rite of opening while walking clockwise 12 times around the gate.
When I finished walking I fell on my bed and entered the astral. I could feel the demonic presence inside the gate before I even entered, but when the Gate opened I shot strait through feeling the demons running for me. As I neared the gatekeeper I screamed (the name I recieved in the first gate) until a Demon grabbed my leg. This I felt in the physical. I put on my armor of Nanna and kicked it off of me. A spirit I met in the Nanna gate shot it with lightening and stood where the enterence to Nebo was. The gate keeper did not open the gate for me, nor did he even seem to notice that I was there. Well, I was not going to wait for him. I saw myself radiating a bluish energy and went THROUGH the door. There was no Grand Throne for Nebo like Nanna had. A chair with modest decoration is what he sat on. He was not sitting though, he was standing with his hands touching each other. As I am writing this, a while moth is flying all over me. I have still yet to divine what their significance is to me. Anyways, Nebo had 1000 horns that almost looked like deer horns. He looked like a traditional important Sumerian man except for his legs which where the legs of some animal with hooves at the bottom. His “palace”, if you can call it that ,as it did not at all look like what I saw in Nanna's realm, was covered with books, tablets, scales, powders, symbols, etc. He greeted me with some wave of his hand that I did not quite visualize all of. I kneeled before him but he told me to stand. He said he had a hand in creating my soul many years ago and showed me a symbol which I am to inscribe upon metal and wear as a necklace.
I asked him what the purpose of the symbol was, at which time he hesitated and said that it can command spirits. This may be true, but there is some hidden meaning of the symbol that I must divine, just like I had to divine the purpose of the lightening from Nanna. He showed me an image of my staff with two snakes around it and told me to paint it on my staff. He said this would allow my staff to manifest my intent directly. He told me that the word of his gate was Sikuman. I have a few ideas as to what the name means, but haven't yet made anything solid out of it. So far there are a few Akkadian as well as Sumerian possibilities. I asked for a spirit, but Nebo declined and said that when I was getting some success with the Demons in his gate, he would grant me a familiar. I am wondering how Itud Saggul and the spirit Nebo gives me will interact with each other. I left the gate and woke up feeling bit sore.
